Jordan White

Team USA Paralympian 2024

Over the past 16 years, Jordan has undergone more than 20 surgeries—and he is expected to face even more. Born with Congenital Femoral Deficiency, a condition that causes skeletal deformities from the hip downward, Jordan has endured multiple femur and tibia lengthenings, as well as reconstructions of his hip, knee, and ankle. Despite this, Jordan remains resilient and optimistic.

Jordan’s most significant achievement so far has been representing Team USA in Para Archery at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris. In the summer of 2023, just after a major leg-lengthening surgery that required a three-month stay in Florida, he traveled to Chicago to receive his international Para Archery classification. Even during recovery, he continued to train. Upon returning home, he learned that the Paralympic team trials would be held in April and May of 2024. Determined to compete, Jordan faced off against three experienced Paralympians—including a gold medalist—and, on the final day of trials, earned first place. He became the youngest Para Archer and the youngest member of Team USA at the 2024 Games. Jordan is currently training for the World Championships in Gwangju, Korea, and has his sights set on the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

What began as a socially distanced activity during the pandemic has become Jordan’s passion. In 2020, while searching for a safe way to stay active, he discovered archery—after having tried sports like swimming, soccer, baseball, and golf. From the moment he picked up a bow, he felt deeply connected to the discipline and focus the sport requires. His skills quickly advanced, and what started as a hobby became a central part of his identity. Archery has given him more than just a competitive outlet—it has become a source of confidence, motivation, and community. Today, Jordan holds eight national records and continues to compete at the highest level, fueled by the same love for the sport that first drew him in. His ultimate goal is to inspire a new generation of archers, both with and without disabilities, to experience the joy of the sport.
